Programmes

Triple P - Positive Parenting Programme

The Glen Innes Family Centre is running a 6-session parenting programme aimed at supporting parents to develop positive strategies to deal with difficult behaviours in preschoolers. The group will help parents to encourage positive behaviour in their children and overall help improve family relationships.

Date & Time: Wednesdays 10am - 12pm
Location: Glen Innes Family Centre
Facilitator: Psychologist from Triple P Research Group from the University of Auckland

Tool Box Parenting Programme

Parents Inc. presents this six-week course for parents of children in 6-12 years age group. These sessions will give the parents insight into the particular challenges and unique opportunities that the childhood year brings.

Stepping Stones

This is a programme for women who have been or are in physically or emotionally abusive relationship. This programme is delivered in partnership with Eastern Women's Refuge.

Date & Time: Wednesdays or Thursdays 10am - 12pm

Positive Power

This is a programme designed for children and young people who have experience domestic violence. Positive Power aims to assist the client in exploring the effects of being exposed to domestic violence and making meaning of their experience.

Date & Time: Wednesdays or Thursdays 4pm - 5pm

Mana Rangatahi

This is a programme designed for Youth Development in the Tamaki area. The programme cosists of 8 sessions for youth age 12 - 14 years.

Date & Time: Fridays 5pm onwards

Seniors Programme

Seniors programme was developed to provide weekly activities for the elderly.

Date & Time: Thursdays 10am - 2:30pm

Friendship Club

This programme helps children develop social skills while enjoying fun and creative activities.

Date & Time: Fridays 3:15pm - 5pm
Location: Glen Innes Family Centre
Facilitator: Rachel Wakefield, Jouelle Mosby, Cecile Canovas and volunteers
  • Childcare is provided for those who require it while attending our programmes.

  • An open door policy available for one to one or whanau/family consultation.
  • Glen Innes Family Centre provides free services, but a donation/koha would be appreciated as we are not for profit organisation.

Volunteering

Glen Innes Family Centre is a not for profit community agency and volunteers are always welcome. If you want to be a volunteer, please ring the Centre for more information.
